Trump’s very angry about this New York Times article: “Shorter Days, Signs of Fatigue: Trump Faces Realities of Aging in Office.” Hence this limerick:
The FAKE NEWS falsely claims that I’m aging!
I’m so youthful, that lie is enraging.
My stamina’s great,
My brain is first-rate,
And I’m virile, so brace for rampaging.
And here’s a story about Trump’s reaction to the NYT article.
I was about to say that the Disney/ABC $15 million cave to Trump was the final straw. But alas, I fear there will be many more straws:
Dear Press: Don’t obey in advance.
Don’t succumb to Trump’s arrogant dance.
If you do, you’ll be under
His thumb — torn asunder;
Vanquished victims of Trump’s rancid rants.
The Dems and the press-folk are keen
On playing a blame game, obscene.
But they’re missing the point
In their haste to anoint
A fall guy: Most voters are mean!
Headline: “CNN Drops Rick Santorum After Racist Comments About Native Americans”
CNN has dumped Rick J. Santorum
(Though Republicans seem to adore’m.)
With insults creative,
He dissed all our Native
Americans, breaching decorum.
Fox’s “fig leaf,” Shep Smith, has resigned,
Which is putting Fox News in a bind:
They once used him to claim
Agitprop’s not their aim.
With him gone, who’ll Fox News hide behind?
Trump delays and defies and he sues;
His flawed policy’s thwart and refuse.
Tell him “Follow the law,”
And he’ll yell or guffaw.
Don’t believe it? Try reading real news.
Donald constantly bashes the press,
Which adds to the media’s stress
And imperils their lives;
With his words Trump contrives
To inspire his base to aggress.
