There's a hint of spring in the air!
Sixty-four basketball teams, all paired
For one final March Madness,
Then it's back, with some sadness
To real life, no more games on the air

There's a hint of spring in the air
I'm not a hoops addict, I swear!
Just win one more, oh please,
Then these creaky old knees,
I'll crank up, and get moving, out there

So glad to see more fun spring limericks here! I love the variety and the humor in so many of them. Please keep them coming and, if you're on Facebook, post them there too. Thanks!

There's a hint of sweet spring in the air!
I can feel a light breeze through my hair.
One last breath through my nose,
And I'll put on some clothes
Before someone discovers I'm bare.

Spring (mine)
-----------------------
There’s a hint of sweet spring in the air.
It snapped me from cold winter's stare.
How glum was the dearth,
When the sun hit the earth,
T'was like a kick in the ol' derriere!

(my grandpa's rejoinder)
--------------
'Tis spring in Alaska too
Tho' there's snow here up the wazoo.
There's mud in the streets
And it still will be weeks
Before the sun sneaks in one peek-a-boo.

Or maybe this one...

There’s a hint of sweet spring in the air
As I open the trunk for the spare.
I get soaked by spring showers
(While great for the flowers)
They’re not doing much for my hair.
(Or my shoes… or my suit…)

Unfortunately, this is based on $270 worth of truth and chemicals...

There’s a hint of sweet spring in the air
Time to open the pool – What a scare!
What’s that joke that I’ve seen…?
“Why’s the water so green?--
‘Cause, I throw so much money in there!”

There’s a hint of sweet spring in the air
And my step, a thing all too rare;
The sun, long past due,
At last breaks on through
And our faces have smiles to spare

There's a hint of sweet spring in the air
Get up off your fat derriere
Time to walk, run, and bike
Or take a long hike
Then it's time for the wine and Gruyere

There's a hint of sweet spring in the air
and I have a peaceful feeling, quite rare
Though bullets may fly
in both June and July
On my spring vacation I haven't a care.
