The Republican Sens. are compliant;
Against Donald they’re rarely defiant,
Which means bad nominees
Are approved with great ease…
Although each one’s the inverse of giant.
Headline: “Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao is first Trump Cabinet member to quit after riot”
To resign from the Cab’net this late
Isn’t noble or worthy or great.
It’s a way to survive
And avoid “25.”
A cowardly action? Damn straight!
Headline: “Christie Says Trump Hired ‘Riffraff’ for Key Posts”
No one wants to join Donald Trump’s staff,
Or work on the Donald’s behalf.
You’d have to be high
To deal with that guy,
So he’s down to the riff and the raff.
James Mattis held Donald at bay.
But alas, the man’s going away
Way before he had planned,
Because Trump felt unmanned
And said “Leave now!” (Trump-petulance-play.)
Headline: “Scott Pruitt blames ‘unrelenting attacks’ for his demise”
In a letter to Trump packed with whines,
The sleazy Scott Pruitt resigns;
Though corrupt to the max,
“Unrelenting attacks”
Took a “toll” — his self-pitying lines.
This headline cries out for a limerick: “Trump Tires of His Cabinet”
I’m sick of my Cab’net, says Trump.
Dead weight’s got me stuck in a slump.
My key to success is
A team shouting yeses.
Dump ’em all! Watch my poll numbers jump!
