The Outgoing Message I’d Love To (But Probably Shouldn’t) Leave On My Answering Machine (Limerick)
The Outgoing Message I’d love To (But Probably Shouldn’t) Leave On My Answering Machine
By Madeleine Begun Kane
Your party can’t come to the phone.
She’s at lunch or home sick. Please don’t moan.
Leave a message, or not.
I don’t care — I’m a bot.
But my owner says, “Leave me alone!”

What fun!
The kind of message I’d often like to leave (but never do) :)
Great! It’s probably still more polite than the one my son has (see my post), and at least it’s going to give the caller a chuckle. Nice one!!!
I love it - I wish I could leave something similar on my work phone… :) Reminds me of the Meatloaf song which has the lyric “I called your cell and it said at the tone ‘Leave me alone’” Ha ha. :)
i dont care im a bot… now that sounds like a great t-shirt… hilarious..
I’m probably going to use this as my message, LOL. Brilliant, as usual.
