A Limerick About Nothing

I just found out that this week (May 1 through May 7) is National Pet Week. So I thought I’d celebrate with a canine limerick:

A Limerick About Nothing
By Madeleine Begun Kane

A fellow who owned a pet dog
Took him out for a walk in the fog.
Soon the man and his hound
Were back home safe and sound,
Where he wrote up their walk on his blog.

UPDATE: Happy “Walking The Dog Day.” (February 22)

A fellow who owned a canine
was a very good friend of mine

    his dog bit my hand
I did not think it grand

the law now requires a fine

  2. I don’t have a limerick in me tonight, but I think this will make you smile:
    Lindy Hoppers

    Peace and puppies, Amy

  3. A fellow who owned a pet cat
thought, “hey that tabby’s kinda fat”
    they traveled all day
    to Cirque du Soleil
now that feline’s a thin acrobat

That was great! Sometimes Nothing is better than Something.

    Comments about cats and dogs
    Posted on other peoples’ blogs
    Kinda leave me dry
    And here’s why
To me, it’s sorta like writing about logs.

Forgive me…I know that one was bad. Fogs was used up, and I couldn’t think of anything that rhymes with blogs and dogs

Thanks so much everyone for your comments and verse!

  7. No rhyme from me, just a round of applause.
