Limerick Ode to the iPhone’s Siri

No Siri for me — I’m serious!

I’m referring to Apple’s wise-cracking, female-voiced digital personal assistant, now available on the iPhone 4S.

Limerick Ode to the iPhone’s Siri
By Madeleine Begun Kane

There’s a newfangled Apple bot, Siri—
A bantering gal, rather eerie.
What a talkative lass!
I’m planning to pass.
Would a male bot be somewhat less cheery?

I once commented on a boyfriend’s GPS female voice. “Geez, Paul, I think she’s flirting to you.”
“Turn right, turn left,” the female voice says–kinda sounds like the voice in those 1-900 calls, you know. Don’t ask why I know haha.
The next day, the female voice was gone and replaced with a monotonous male voice I PREFER. :)
