My Elemental Muse (Limerick)

One Single Impression and Amputated Moon prompt us to use elemental in a poem:

My Elemental Muse (Limerick)
By Madeleine Begun Kane

My muse is a force elemental.
It can come on quite strong, or be gentle.
When it’s gone, my mood’s black:
Will it ever come back?
Must I go about finding a rental?

ha if only a rental muse were available…lol…this i understand

  2. I suspect that there is another name for a muse that charges by the hour. Mind you, it can be value for money.

You inspired me to try the prompt as well, also in (extended) limerick form.

There once was a Muse attached to Madeline
Who did not enjoy having her goings and comings with meaning saddle-in
“Here I am elemental, yours forever – no rental!”
Huffed her force with a synchronistic phenomenon

Hi M.K. ~~ You are good with the limericks. My ‘elemental’ was a little tanka but really a flop.
This week’s (prompt, muse) OSI is up too. I had lost mine also but not cleverly done like your limerick here. again
