A Rueful Rhyme

A Rueful Rhyme
By Madeleine Begun Kane

Your inventions are brilliant, it’s true.
Yes, you’re smart; it’s your rudeness I rue.
I regret that I met you,
My failure to vet you,
And, mostly, my saying, “I do.”

Very good. I marvel that you can do this on so regular a basis.

Thanks Paul! I think limericks have taken over my brain. :)

I am amazed how you can always come up with such witty and cute limericks. Great job.

Do you think in rhyme on a daily basis? Another great limerick!

Thanks Lisa and Kailani! Yes, I do think in rhyme all the time. Do you think it’s treatable? :)

Great poem. I especially like the “it’s your rudeness I rue.” line. I’m not a big poem guy, but I’ll give one a shot.

    She turns many a head,
    but she’s boring in bed.
    She makes not a meal,
    but never does squeal.

    I love her so,
    and cannot say no,
Till I realized she’s not even real.

    “Mannequin”

A little disturbing but not bad for 10 minutes.
