Limerick Ode To a Vigorous Old Lady

Limerick Ode To A Vigorous Old Lady
By Madeleine Begun Kane

An old grandma with spring in her walk
Moved so quickly that people would gawk.
When asked if a gym
Was the source of her vim
She said, “No — Jim, Kim, Henry and Hawk.”

(Posted at this spring prompt and at Poetic Asides’ spring prompt.)

UPDATE: July 23 is Gorgeous Grandma Day.

I love this…maybe because I consider myself to be a vigorous old lady. It doesn’t get better than this! Thanks for linking to the Monday prompt, Mad.

    Loud Limerick

Written while waiting for the taxi before going on a cruise! I definitely have a spring in my step today!

  4. Great fun limerick, but this old lady moves slower and slower, despite the spring in the air.
