Mucked Up Music (Limerick)

I swear that this limerick is based on an actual news item: Artist makes music with bird droppings in Liverpool.

When creative ideas are few?
If your muse flew the coop,
Here’s an int’resting scoop:

The limerick is well-done but it’s the underlying event that
    ‘s rather remarkable! K.

    A warm up:

I scored music using bird poo.
And you can do this work too.
Just order poo by the bucket
    From my friend in Nantucket.
Try not to get any on you. Now off to pose!!!!

    the art of the splat
    not of the nimble cat
but the turd of a bird
    is most often unheard
can music be inspired by that?

    …just askin’ :)

This is funny! I love it. I find it amazing as well as amusing, the kinds of things artists try. Sometimes it works… sometime it doesn’t. But your limerick definitely does.

  9. I howled!! Me and my bird poo!!

It’s getting more difficult to be unique in the arts . . . or in anything, really, now that our world is smaller. It’s heartwarming to see how artists of all genre have arisen directly from the “reduce, reuse, recycle” thinking! Or, should I say, have plopped right into it?

    Great and inspiring lim, Mad!

Maplethorpe at once comes to mind,
Tho his was the “represent” kind.
Now just watch as the broohahaha’s start
As in Brooklyn–“elephant poo in art!”
    Artistic intentions? Traditions maligned!
