What on earth is the matter with Republicans like Rep. Michelle Bachmann and Rep. Robin Hayes? Not only do they say insane things, but they deny saying them, as if recording devices had never been invented:

Is to blithely deny
That they said it and lie.

A difficult Limreick to write (I suspect) covering a difficult subject in a difficult time.
There’s an old rhyme you might know – Remember remember the fifth of November… – In the UK we celebrate Bonfire night with fireworks and burn an efigy of the politician Guy Fawkes on the day after your big election.
“I don’t know, I wasn’t even there. I think ‘that person’ might have meant…”
– I don’t know how they keep up with themselves.
Sweet Talking Guy, I’m not familiar with it. As for writing my limerick, I wrote my last line first and then backed into the rest. I was pleased of course, that the word tape has so many rhymes. :)
