I can’t decide what’s more absurd — Bush’s delusional boast that giving up golf is some sort of Iraq War sacrifice … or the fact that he lied about it.
In any event, George “Golf-Deprived” Bush deserves another limerick don’t you think?

It is hardly the cure for despair.
You’ve inflicted much pain
For no positive gain,

who after starting a war, said on that day
I just can’t be seen
Having fun on on the green
so he rescheduled outings for Tuesdays.
There once was a man from Connecticut
Who tried and tried to perfect his putt
He gave up instead
And, lacking a head,
Talked nonsense using just his butt.
Dub is giving up golf? That he calls
His great sacrifice? Pshaw… that appalls!
It raises my gorge
To think it’s not George
But a soldier who’s losing his balls.
