Limerick Ode To A Plunging Stock Market

Limerick Ode To A Plunging Stock Market
By Madeleine Begun Kane

The stock market’s falling apart,
And it takes neither science nor art
To see that we’re screwed.
Wall Street matches our mood.
Yes, we’re losing both money and heart.

Your woes have even spread to us! We’re OK regarding employment etc,
but you’ve made everyone so jittery the retail trade has gone down the gurgler. As an Australian verse says ‘We’ll all be rooned’! Thanks for a good limerick about a very bad situation.

  2. Excellent! Bravo.

I scheduled a post for Monday with my own limerick.
There was a woman from Churtsey… Not an easy one to find the last rhyme for, I discovered. :O)

    of a dire situation

As we hold our breath to see what happens tomorrow. Also, loved your choices for last week’s limericks.

  6. Yes…..And I think instead of messing with the salaries of teachers and soldiers we should be taking it back from the fat cats in DC who are jerking us around.

Madeleine, it is indeed a scary situation. The rich get richer, and poor get poorer.
