Practice, Practice, Practice

Practice, Practice, Practice
By Madeleine Begun Kane

The teacher called out from his car:
“Ma’am, your daughter’s a driver’s ed star.
Her steering’s quite deft,
She knows right turns from left,
And, with practice, she’s bound to go far.”

(My car humor is collected here.)

  6. Ah, driver’s ed. I have exactly 8 years, 2 months, and 20 days until I have to think about this!

  7. madkane says:

Thanks everyone. And Sarah, I recommend not thinking about it. :)

That brings back such nightmares from my driver ed days. My teacher did not think girls belonged in the driver’s seat of a car so he had nothing positive to say.

Has anyone ever followed (maybe Mom and Dad by caravan) their new driver the first time out away from the house. Because we are about to do that, tomorrow. lol
