Ode To A Dull Drum Beat
By Madeleine Begun Kane
Ev'ry ninety days or so,
A blogger's post appears,
That feigns concern for blogging gals
Who pale beside male peers:
Why don't gals blog politics?
And why are they obscure?
Perhaps it's their passivity.
Their spirits got no roar!
Maybe it's indifference.
To matters large and grave.
Domestic life is more their speed.
They're way too well behaved.
Hurling theories left and right,
He justifies the fate
Of gal-owned blogs that he ignores,
But knows they do not rate.
Satisfied that he has proved
His strong and deep concern,
He turns to read his blogger pals,
Who also gal blogs spurn.
