Dear Diary -- Last week was pretty good all in all -- except fer some trouble with the Senate. Somethin to do with campaign finance reform and McCain the Pain's poison pill. But Dick says dont worry I'll get to exercise my veto. And Caren Hughes says I can even exercise it while I'm exercisin.

There -- that should make Caren happy. She found my diary the other day and got mad cause she wasnt in it. She reminded me that without her spinnin I wouldn't be Prez. She also said I can screw around with Condy and Chrissie if I wanna but I'd better not mess with her. That Caren's one spunky gal!

Hey! I just noticed Condy & Chrissie & Caren all start with a C. Cool!

Dear Diary -- I'm gettin real confused about what I'm supposed to say about the economy. First they make me say real bad things so people will get scared and support my tax package. Now cause of the stock market bein in the dumpster they want me to keep scarin people but just a little bit of scarin cause we wont be able to blame the Clinton economy forever. Bummer!

I'm also upset cause they're not lettin me stop the latest airline strike. It was such fun when I got to stop that other one a coupla weeks back. I sure hope they'll change there mind.

Gotta go now and talk to Dick about the EU sendin mediaters to East and West Korea. I bet they're doin it just to make me look bad.

Dear Diary -- Dick says it looks like Chrissie was a good choice after all. Shes bein real obedient about killin off Kyoto & other enviro nonsense even tho she spoke up forcibly in private. I guess she figures its too late to get her old job back.

The liberal medias real mad cause they're not gonna get to torture me at formal press conferences anymore. Thats what they get for bein mean to me!!!

And speakin of mean those damn Senate Dems are makin terrible trouble with campaign finance reform. I dont unnerstand exactly whats goin on but McCain the Pain's pretty happy so I'm not.

Dear Diary -- I've had a fun coupla days. I got to yell at Arafat, argue about global warning with some guy from Germany, and bring baseball to the White House. Plus next week I'm gonna inaugurate the new Milwaukee ball park by throwin a ball. It's really cool doin important stuff like that.

I also had a good time at yesterday's inpromtu news conference. The best part was watching the liberal media scramble to get to it on short notice. Plus they dont have time to think up tricky questions.
