Bush’s Iraq Strategy: Here … Catch!

President Codpiece celebrated “Mission Accomplished” day by vetoing the Iraq war spending bill.  Why turn down money he’s just dying to get his grubby hands on? Cause those mean Dems are trying to make him end the war some time during his Presidency. And that just ain’t gonna happen.

No way will George W. Bush clean up his own mess!  He’s never done it before, so why start now?  Bush has always used the here … catch approach to life, kicking the can down the road and sticking somebody else with problems he created.

Bush’s Iraq Strategy: Here … Catch!
By Madeleine Begun Kane

Kick the can down the road—that’s the plan:
Stick the war mess on some other man.
Wreak much havoc abroad
And at home. Oh my Gawd!
Then say, “Catch! Fix Iraq and Iran.”

Good to see you keeping the faith over here. Thanks for stopping by my humble blog. I made the same post at WatchBlog where it actually gets some diverse if modest readership. Glad for your agreement to my non-conventional wisdom strategy of responding to the veto with a tougher bill. It’s nice to know I’m not just spittin’ in the wind. Also prompted me to stop by and realize I’d never updated my link to you since your change of address last year.

Thanks for stopping by and for updating your blogroll.

Actually we’re both probably spittin’ in the wind … but at least we’re doing it together. :)

Ms. Kane, your work is awesome. It’s a shame that more people haven’t taken your views to heart–unfortunately there are apparently some people out there whose parents were more closely related than first cousins, as his approval rating is still at a whopping 9%.

In spite of calls for impeachment in both the house and senate, Dubya continues to blunder on–or sideways. The latest financial crisis, and his attempts to give Paulson 700 billion of our money with no oversight or review is just one last nail in the outhouse that has been his Imperial Presidency.

Though our good buddy Dubya is leavin’
His replacements’ stale plans are still heavin’
    Garbage statements galore–
    Stable muck and much more,
To immure our whole land past retrievin’.

Thanks Henry for your kind words and limerick. You assessment, sadly, sounds right.
