- SpellCheck.net Need an excellent online spell-check? I strongly recommend this one, although I sure don't use it for Dubya's Dayly Diary.
- The Cypher Agency This literary agency site is packed with useful information for would-be authors, including book proposal info, writer resources, manuscript formatting info, & more.
- WriteHumor.com This entertaining and informative site features tips for writers, articles on writing humor, humor columns, & articles on the writing life. It also features author interviews including an interview of moi.
- Media & Publishing Humor Page. To make it easier to find my media and publishing humor, I've created this media humor page.
- RobertNiles The goal of this fine site is to teach journalists where to find information online and how to understand it. But you needn't be a journalist to find this media and news portal useful.
- ChillingEffectsClearinghouse This excellent resource contains a searchable database of Cease and Desist orders and "background material and explanations of the law for people whose websites deal with topics such as Fan Fiction, Copyright, Domain Names and Trademarks, Anonymous Speech, and Defamation."
- Language Sites On The Internet Verbivorous sites for people in love with the English language, courtesy of language maven and author Richard Lederer.
- Satiric Quill This entertaining site uses "the writing life as ink for a satiric quill."
- YourDictionary.com A comprehensive language portal with more than 1800 dictionaries in more than 230 languages. It also has cool language tools, word games and puzzles, specialty dictionaries (law, medicine, finance, sports, sciences, and more), a word search engine, and just about anything else a word lover could ask for.
- Assignment Editor, Your Newsroom Home Page An excellent collection of news-related reference and search tools.
- Judy Vorfeld Office Support Services Judy Vorfeld, an excellent editor of business documents and Web text and a Web renovator, took me under her wing and was a tremendous help with my Web site redesign. In fact without her, MadKane.com wouldn't even have a Web site redesign. Be sure to click on her "Web Grammar" link.

- Loads of Odes Loads of Odes is a place for "real life poetry,where biographical and cynical rhyme and verse poems can be posted and read."
- David Lubar If you have kids, you're probably familiar with David Lubar, a young adult book author, humorist, and game designer. He's a very funny fellow, whom I met when we were both writing essays for AOL's daily humor feature.
- The Shifted Librarian You're liable to find just about anything on this "information maven's" weblog. And it's almost sure to make you smarter.
- Life's a Stitch: The Best of Contemporary Women's Humor A terrific, new Random House humor anthology, whose contributors include Wendy Wasserstein, Delia Ephron, Anna Quindlen, Kathy Najimy, Christine Lavin, Erma Bombeck, Julie Gold, Cathy Guisewite, Merrill Markoe, Patricia Volk, Signe Wilkinson, Jane Wagner, Judith Viorst, Fran Capo, Molly Ivins, Lynn Johnston, Julie Haslton, Roz Chast, and many other terrific writers, cartoonists, and singer/songwriters. I'm proud to say that one of my humor columns is in the book too.

- TheWebLogReview.com This "peer to peer review of weblogs" is a well-written and well-organized weblog review publication. If you have any interest in the weblog craze, this site is a "must read." And I'd say that even if it didn't give my Dubya's Dayly Diary an enthusiastic review.
- Rexanne's Homepage Rexanne has lots to say about parenting, holidays, and many other topics. So check out her "personal soapbox."
