And surprise, surprise, insurance companies think this is dangerous.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The EMC Insurance Cos. insures 85 percent to 90 percent of all Kansas school districts and has refused to renew coverage for schools that permit teachers and custodians to carry concealed firearms on their campuses under the new law, which took effect July 1. It&#8217;s not a political decision, but a financial one based on the riskier climate it estimates would be created, the insurer said.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kansas Gun Law Backfires (Multi-Verse Limerick)<br \/>\nBy Madeleine Begun Kane<\/p>\n<p>In municipal spots, like a school,<br \/>\nConcealed weapons in Kansas are cool.<br \/>\nBut the pols that decreed this<br \/>\nMay soon have to heed this:<br \/>\nThey&#8217;ve entered a sky-high risk pool.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You are too great a risk,&#8221; said the co<br \/>\nThat insured Kansas schools.  What a blow!<br \/>\n&#8220;We do NOT mean to screw you,<br \/>\nBut just can&#8217;t renew you.<br \/>\nIt&#8217;s financial &#8212; a matter of dough.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Forrest Knox, who&#8217;s an NRA shill<br \/>\nAnd the fellow who sponsored the bill<br \/>\nThat started this mess,<br \/>\nSays insurers should bless<br \/>\nTeachers toting their weapons at will.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This will make us all safer,&#8221; he swears.<br \/>\n&#8220;What do carriers know about scares,<br \/>\nAnd dangers and risk<br \/>\nAnd hazards. Tsk-Tsk!<br \/>\nI know better than they!&#8221; he declares.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s next?
