In fact, had the two of us not been so exhausted from our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/humor_blog\/tag\/las-vegas\/\">Las Vegas<\/a> vacation, that&#8217;s where we probably would have been Saturday night.  Perhaps that&#8217;s why I&#8217;m especially offended by John McCain&#8217;s apparent desire to undermine the prosecution of alleged terrorists.<\/p>\n<p>What am I talking about? McCain said it would be a <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/blogs\/blog-briefing-room\/news\/95837-mccain-serious-mistake-if-car-bombing-suspect-was-mirandized\">&#8220;serious mistake&#8221;<\/a> if car bombing suspect Faisal Shahzad, a naturalized American citizen, was Mirandized. <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sorry, but the only way Mirandizing Shahzad would be a mistake is if your goal is to taint the evidence, get it <a href=\"http:\/\/yglesias.thinkprogress.org\/archives\/2010\/05\/mccain-wants-to-executive-terror-suspect-make-it-impossible-to-secure-conviction-against-terror-suspect.php\">thrown out of court<\/a>, and lose the damn case.<\/p>\n<p>And that brings me to my latest two-verse limerick:<\/p>\n<p>John McCain &#8212; Ignoramus, Liar, Or Terrorist Sympathizer?<br \/>\nBy Madeleine Begun Kane<\/p>\n<p>Shahzad was Mirandized. Oh my!<br \/>\nCue McCain and his pandering lie.<br \/>\nTo warn him was wrong&#8212;<br \/>\nThat&#8217;s McCain&#8217;s specious song.<br \/>\nHe malpractices law on the fly.<\/p>\n<p>For Miranda&#8217;s a citizen&#8217;s right.<br \/>\nFail to warn him?
