{"id":259,"date":"2008-10-12T18:17:33","date_gmt":"2008-10-12T22:17:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/madness\/2008\/10\/12\/sarah-in-wonderland\/"},"modified":"2008-12-18T18:37:06","modified_gmt":"2008-12-18T22:37:06","slug":"sarah-in-wonderland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/madness\/2008\/10\/12\/sarah-in-wonderland\/","title":{"rendered":"Sarah In Wonderland"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A\u00a0 bipartisan legislative panel in Alaska finds <a href=\"http:\/\/www.philly.com\/philly\/blogs\/americandebate\/Abuse_of_power.html\">Sarah Palin guilty of abusing her executive power.<\/a>\u00a0 So is Palin contrite?\u00a0 Hahahahaha!<\/p>\n<p>Actually, I&#8217;m find it tough to get my head around <a href=\"http:\/\/voices.washingtonpost.com\/the-trail\/2008\/10\/12\/palin_talks_to_alaska_reporter.html\">Palin&#8217;s response.<\/a>\u00a0 (Unlike so many Republicans, I&#8217;ve never been any \u00a0good at holding two contradictory positions at the same time.)<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin this weekend disregarded an ethics investigator&#8217;s finding that she had abused her executive power as Alaska&#8217;s governor and instead embraced a second finding in the report to say that she had been cleared of wrongfully firing her state public safety commissioner.\u00a0&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>In a Saturday conference call with Alaska journalists, Palin said she was &#8220;pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing &#8230; any hint of any kind of unethical activity there.&#8221; She denounced the investigation, calling it &#8220;a partisan circus.&#8221;\u00a0&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Okay, I&#8217;m not positive, but here&#8217;s\u00a0what seems to be the McCain campaign&#8217;s official response to the Troopergate ethics violation report:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>1)\u00a0It\u00a0 exonerates her; and<\/p>\n<p>2)\u00a0If it hadn&#8217;t been an Obama-controlled hit job, it would have exonerated her.<\/p>\n<p>My head hurts.<\/p>\n<p>Sarah In Wonderland<br \/>\nBy Madeleine Begun Kane<\/p>\n<p>So what is Gov.
