As <a href=\"http:\/\/krugman.blogs.nytimes.com\/2010\/01\/26\/obama-liquidates-himself\/\">Paul Krugman<\/a> said,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A spending freeze? That\u2019s the brilliant response of the Obama team to their first serious political setback?<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s appalling on every level.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Something tells me that Obama&#8217;s State of the Union address is going to be jam-packed with pandering double talk. <\/p>\n<p>And that brings me to my latest limerick:<\/p>\n<p>Ode To Barack Hussein Hoover<br \/>\nBy Madeleine Begun Kane<\/p>\n<p>Prez Obama, once shaker and mover,<br \/>\nIs reduced to a pand&#8217;ring maneuver.<br \/>\nDealt a setback, his plan<br \/>\nIs a spending freeze? Man!<br \/>\nWe&#8217;ve elected a latter-day Hoover.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\">********<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to my good friend <a href=\"http:\/\/satiricalpolitical.com\">Don Davis of <em>Satirical Political<\/em><\/a> for taking top prize in this year&#8217;s <a href=\" http:\/\/humorfeed.com\/press\/20100127davis.html \"><em>HumorFeed<\/em> contest<\/a> and being named <em>The Best Satire of the Year.<\/em> Don won for his hilarious <a href=\"http:\/\/satiricalpolitical.com\/2009\/12\/20\/war-on-xmas-bonuses-santas-elves\/\"><em>A Real War On Christmas: Outrage Grows Over Excessive Bonuses To Santa&#8217;s Elves<\/em>.<\/a> Congrats, again Don.  Well deserved!<\/p>\n<p>(Full disclosure: I was a member of the four judge panel.
