Remember when the entire left blogosphere could be counted on to criticize politicians who said one thing and did the opposite? And when hypocrisy was routinely deconstructed and attacked by the left?<\/p>\n

I’m talking about the pre-Obama-cult days, of course.\u00a0 A time when the sort of behavior described here,<\/a> here,<\/a>\u00a0here<\/a> and here<\/a> wouldn’t have been countenanced (let alone encouraged) by half the left blogosphere. Those were the days, my friend. (McCain Trademark Pending)<\/p>\n

And that brings me to the first of my latest pair of limericks:<\/p>\n

Dear Obama, please tell us all why
\nYou keep doing the stuff you decry.
\nCuz the “high road” you claim
\nSure is littered with shame,
\nAs you peddle your DC change lie.<\/p>\n

My second new limerick was inspired by\u00a0Obama’s slick habit of conflating the GWB and Bill Clinton presidencies by referring to\u00a0decades<\/a> in discussing this nation’s problems.\u00a0 Instead of pinpointing the horrendous Bush years, Obama blithely tarnishes the Democratic brand with that plural decades reference.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Why does he do this? Apparently it’s Obama who will do whatever it takes to win.\u00a0 And that\u00a0includes making sure Hillary doesn’t get credit by association for the relatively prosperous and peaceful Nineties.<\/p>\n

That\u00a0brings me to today’s second limerick:<\/p>\n

Obama cites “decades” of ills,
\nConflating the Bush years with Bill’s.
\nHe’ll hurt the Dem brand
\nBy playing that hand,
