So I told my husband Mark that, unless he wanted me to be a basket case on nine-eleven, he&#8217;d better plan something good.<\/p>\n<p>So, did Mark rise to the occasion?  He sure did, as I describe in this three-verse limerick:<\/p>\n<p>Happy Birthday To Me<br \/>\nBy Madeleine Begun Kane<\/p>\n<p>My nine-one-one birthday was great!<br \/>\nHubby Mark planned a fabulous date:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/03\/22\/theater\/22sont.html\">God of Carnage<\/a> &#8212; fine play &#8212;<br \/>\nFour fab stars on Broadway.<br \/>\nYes, I married a wonderful mate.<\/p>\n<p>The play featured <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0001254\/\">James Gandolfini<\/a>,<br \/>\nWho did <strong>not<\/strong> play a mafia meanie.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0204706\/\">Hope Davis<\/a> starred too<br \/>\nAnd <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0001099\/\">Jeff Daniels<\/a>. Woo Hoo!<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0001315\/\">Marcia Harden&#8217;s<\/a> the fourth.  Creds ain&#8217;t teeny.<\/p>\n<p>We dined on gourmet Mex cuisine:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/toloachenyc.com\/media\/toloache.html\">Tolo<strong>a<\/strong>che&#8217;s<\/a> the best I have seen.<br \/>\nAnd we drank and we danced<br \/>\nAt <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sheckys.com\/newyorkcity\/search\/broadway_lounge_1_404.asp\">two<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smithsbar.com\/\">bars<\/a>.
