{"id":10839,"date":"2015-03-09T16:54:48","date_gmt":"2015-03-09T20:54:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/madness\/?p=10839"},"modified":"2015-03-09T16:59:44","modified_gmt":"2015-03-09T20:59:44","slug":"iran-nukes-deal-satire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/madness\/2015\/03\/09\/iran-nukes-deal-satire\/","title":{"rendered":"The Republican&#8217;s Open Limerick To Iran"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Forty-seven Republican Senators have done something both <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/blogs\/plum-line\/wp\/2015\/03\/09\/republicans-are-beginning-to-act-as-though-barack-obama-isnt-even-the-president\/\">appalling and unprecedented:<\/a> They communicated directly with Iran in order to undermine Obama&#8217;s nuclear arms negotiations. <\/p>\n<p>Now it&#8217;s one thing to try to convince Obama that Iran can&#8217;t be trusted to comply with a nuclear arms deal, or to try to impede an arms deal legislatively. But it&#8217;s quite another to essentially tell Iran not to bother complying because Obama deals aren&#8217;t worth the paper they&#8217;re printed on.<\/p>\n<p>And the latter is precisely what they did.
