Melvin, look for the $1,000 ck. It won’t be arriving though. It’s coming in the form of a tax cut spread-out over a year. Singles will see less than $10/wk. tax cuts. Oh, if you’re unemployed, get a job real soon so you can get the cut. I’m always thankful for the crumbs our elected political whores toss us. Thank God we’ve got Rush Limbaugh & National Healthcare!

Exactly. This should have been the policy for the past 2 years. It certainly should be the policy now. Especially for things that are needed. Just file it under the politics of the past are over — filibuster or get out of the way.

I will be happy after the stimulus bill is passed to get a thousand dollar check plus a raise in food stamps. In third world countries the politicians keep it all for themselves and insiders. Never bite the hand that feeds you. Give thanks to American politicians that leave a few bucks for the common folks.

I have been thinking this FOREVER! What would be the American public’s reaction to seeing night after night of Republicans reading cake recipes on the floor of the US Senate while the country burns….. I can’t even begin to imagine the thinking of the Dems not forcing them to do this. The R’s are standing up for principles that only about 30% or less of Americans care about. But the other 40% in the middle don’t exactly understand what’s going on. They just think both parties suck. Dems need to make it obvious who is on who’s side! God this is so easy, and yet… people like Harry Reid don’t see it. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
