For those who aren't familiar with the history of BAD, it started 2 years ago when a very prominent liberal political blogger dramatically pared down his blogroll, dumping most of the
small and medium sized political blogs he'd been linking to (including me).

To add insult to injury, he had the audacity to (with a straight face) name the day he did this Blogroll Amnesty Day. (In effect he was of course giving only himself amnesty for screwing the little people.)

To make things even worse, several other equally prominent lefty political bloggers almost immediately did the same thing.

In reaction, my pal skippy and a couple of other bloggers spearheaded what's become a movement in the liberal political blogosphere to make a point of linking to less well known blogs that you think are worthy of recognition. Ideally one does this all year round, but it's celebrated every year in a big
way.

This weekend's the latest BAD celebration.
