I just couldn&#8217;t seem to fit this true tale into a mere seventeen syllables:<\/p>\n<p>Classroom clock won&#8217;t move,<br \/>\nits hands dulled by droning prof,<br \/>\nwho catches my stare<br \/>\nand yells, &#8220;If you&#8217;re bored, then go.&#8221;<br \/>\nLesson learned &#8212; I take my leave.<\/p>\n<p>*****<\/p>\n<p>Continuing with an education theme, I&#8217;ve used Three Word Wednesday&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.threewordwednesday.com\/2011\/08\/3ww-cclvi.html\">drag, mumble, penetrate prompt<\/a> in this haiku:<\/p>\n<p>Penetrating mind<br \/>\nwho mumbles at his lectern &#8212;<br \/>\na scholarly drag.<\/p>\n<p>*****<\/p>\n<p>Drop the &#8220;f&#8221; from &#8220;flaws&#8221;<br \/>\nand you&#8217;re left with the word &#8220;laws,&#8221;<br \/>\nmost of which are flawed.<\/p>\n<p>*****<\/p>\n<p>What greater pleasure<br \/>\nthan a standing ovation<br \/>\nfrom the man you love.<\/p>\n<p>*****<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Prompted to write a school-related haiku, I ended up with a tanka.
