It’s time to announce the latest Limerick of the Week based on submissions (on this blog and on Facebook) in last week’s Limerick-Off<\/a>. I’m very pleased to announce the winning Limerick of the Week and the Honorable Mentions:<\/p>\n

Congratulations to BRUCE NIEDT<\/a> who wins Limerick of the Week for this entertaining verse:<\/p>\n

A woman who always seemed game
\nBedded men who all asked her the same:
\n\u201cDid you have a good time?\u201d
\nAnd each night she would chime,
\n\u201cOh yes! I am so glad I came!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order) Johanna Richmond, Matty, Ira Bloom, and Jesse Levy<\/a>. Here are their respective Honorable Mention limericks:<\/p>\n

Johanna Richmond <\/p>\n

A woman who always seemed game
\nLoved a man who put \u201cspicey\u201d to shame;
\nWhile his creamed pepper jack
\nMade a very nice snack,
\nHis Jamaican jerk set her aflame.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Matty:<\/p>\n

A fellow who always seemed game
\nWent out with a strange looking dame.
\nAs the petting got heavy
\nIn back of his Chevy,
\nHe found out that Pete was her name.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ira Bloom: <\/p>\n

A woman who always seemed game,
\nFrom Siam, said without any shame:
\n\u201cI will whip your behind,
\nIf you like Thais that bind,
\n\u2018Cause I dress not to kill, but to maim.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jesse Levy:<\/p>\n

A woman who always seemed game,
\nCould never remember my name.
\nI told her, quite peevy,
\n\u201cMy dear, it is Levy.\u201d
\nNow her name and mine are the same.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
