I&#8217;m very pleased to announce the winning Limerick of the Week and the Honorable Mentions:<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to <a href=\"http:\/\/McGuireHimself.com\">Patrick McGuire<\/a> who wins Limerick of the Week for this clever verse:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A man who was lacking in wit<br \/>\nHad lawyers who never would quit.<br \/>\nThe jury declared<br \/>\nThe man should be spared<br \/>\n\u2019Cause the glove at the scene did not fit.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order)   <a href=\"http:\/\/www.readingjuice.co.uk\/\">Mark Megson<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/jcosmonewbery2.blogspot.com\">J Cosmo Newbery<\/a>, and Scott Crowder.  Here are their respective Honorable Mention limericks:<\/p>\n<p>Mark Megson:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A man who was lacking in wit<br \/>\nPerformed an odd comedy skit.<br \/>\nHe stood on two logs<br \/>\nAnd juggled some frogs,<br \/>\nTo which the crowd said \u201cIs this it?&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>J Cosmo Newbery:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A girl who was lacking in wit<br \/>\nThought a penis was something that bit.<br \/>\nAt the end of the night<br \/>\nShe exclaimed with delight,<br \/>\n\u201cIt\u2019s toothless, but knows how to spit!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Scott Crowder:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A man who was lacking in wit,<br \/>\nWas stupid and didn\u2019t know spit.<br \/>\nSo he asked Joe the Plumber,<br \/>\n\u201cBack Dumb or back Dumber?\u201d<br \/>\nJoe suggested Michelle over Mitt.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Congratulations again to all the winners for your wonderful limericks.
