It’s time to announce the latest Limerick of the Week based on submissions (on this blog and on Facebook) in last week’s Limerick-Off.<\/a> I’m very pleased to announce the winning Limerick of the Week and the Honorable Mentions:<\/p>\n

Congratulations to BRENDA BRYANT a\/k\/a Rinkly Rimes<\/a> who wins Limerick of the Week for this very amusing verse:<\/p>\n

A gal who could never say no
\nSaid ‘Come on! Don\u2019t be shy, Romeo!\u2019
\nShe was eager to please
\nEven on a trapeze!
\nWhich was great for the folk down below!\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order) Johanna Richmond, Scott Crowder, David Lefkovits a\/k\/a Dr. Goose<\/a>, and Vivienne Blake<\/a>. Here are their respective Honorable Mention limericks:<\/p>\n

\nWith a mistress and wife
\nHe had double the strife
\nKissing two butts \u2013 a tough row to hoe.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nTo pork chops and raw cookie dough,
\nMade me whisper \u201cOh, Lord,\u201d
\nWhen he wobbled on board,
\n\u201cI hope he don\u2019t sit in my row.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

David Lefkovits a\/k\/a Dr. Goose:<\/p>\n

A man who could never say no
\nTo the urges that came from below
\nWas finally defeated,
\nWhen thousands retweeted
\nHis self-composed, solo tableau.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Vivienne Blake:<\/p>\n

\nMarried ten at a time, dontcha know.
\nPolyandry her crime,
\nShe had to do time.
