And that means I write a limerick, and you write your own, using the same first line. Then you post your limerick here and, if you\u2019re a Facebook user, on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/madkane\/posts\/220763634618869\">Facebook too.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The best submission will be crowned Limerick Of The Week. (Here\u2019s last week\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/humor_blog\/2011\/05\/22\/limerick-of-the-week-10\/\">Limerick Of The Week Winner plus the Honorable Mentions<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>How will your poems be judged? By meter, rhyme, and cleverness. (If you\u2019re feeling a bit fuzzy about limerick writing rules, here are two excellent resources: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oedilf.com\/wiki\/index.php\/Writing_a_Limerick\">OEDILF on Writing A Limerick<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/speedysnail.com\/limericks\/metre.html\">Speedy Snail\u2019s Limerick Rhythm and Meter<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll announce the Limerick of the Week Winner right before I post next week\u2019s Limerick-Off.
