It’s time to announce the latest Limerick of the Week based on submissions (on this blog and on Facebook) in last week’s Limerick-Off<\/a>. I’m very pleased to announce the winning Limerick of the Week and five Honorable Mentions:<\/p>\n

\n(Cruel, evil, corrupt, dot, dot, dot);
\nBut for once folks cried out,
\nEven Newt voiced his doubt;

A woman was hatching a plot
\nTo pepper her man with lead shot.
\nShe thought she’d have fun
\nWith a sawn-off shot gun,
\nThen boil his remains in a pot.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

David Lefkovits a\/k\/a Dr. Goose:<\/p>\n

A woman was hatching a plot
\nFor seducing a boy who was hot:
\n“I’ll have him, me thinks,
\nAfter plying with drinks
