I&#8217;m very pleased to announce the winning Limerick of the Week and two Honorable Mentions:<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations to <a href=\"http:\/\/mangetoutetc.wordpress.com\/\">Earlybird<\/a> who wins Limerick of the Week for this amusing verse:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A gal thought it time to take stock<br \/>\nWhen once, on omitting to knock,<br \/>\nShe turned on the lights,<br \/>\nFound her man dressed in tights<br \/>\nAnd struggling to do up a frock.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order) Guy Peter Pietrobono and  <a href=\"http:\/\/liv2write2day.wordpress.com\"> Victoria Ceretto-Slotto<\/a>.  Here are their respective Honorable Mention limericks:<\/p>\n<p>Guy Peter Pietrobono:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A gal thought it time to take stock<br \/>\nOf her odd biological clock:<br \/>\n\u201cWith 12 kids today,<br \/>\nPlus 3 on the way,<br \/>\nThese birth-control pills are a crock!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Victoria Ceretto-Slotto:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A gal thought it time to take stock &#8211;\u2013<br \/>\nHer love life was truly a crock:<br \/>\nShe trusted her honey<br \/>\nWho fled with her money,<br \/>\nBetrayal that left her in shock.<\/p>\n<p>She hired a lawyer to sue<br \/>\nAnd see that the creep got his due.<br \/>\nWhen she saw him in court,<br \/>\nHe admitted his tort.<br \/>\nShe said \u201cTough, it\u2019s all over. We\u2019re through.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Congratulations again to all the winners for your wonderful limericks.
