Today I’ve written four poems on a theme called hope<\/em>. There’s a pair of quatrains, one haiku, and a limerick — something for everyone, or no one, as the case may be:<\/p>\n

Hope springs eternal—
\na “truism” some speak.
\nYes, hope springs eternal,
\nuntil it springs a leak.<\/p>\n

\nhelps some folks cope.<\/p>\n

A gal who is often caught moping
\nAnd is terribly dreadful at coping
\nDrives her family mad.
\nThings have gotten so bad,
\nThat they’re hoping to hear she’s eloping.<\/p>\n
