As a retired lawyer, I move to quash the idea that “quash” is endangered:<\/p>\n

Many fear that the verb known as “quash”
\nHas of late been supplanted by “squash.”
\nBut attorneys still use it.
\n(Some even abuse it.)
\nIn courtrooms “quash” still has panache.<\/p>\n
