And that means I write a limerick, and you write your own, using the same rhyme word. Then you post your limerick(s) as a comment to this post and, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/madkane\/posts\/10156160715049315\">if you\u2019re a Facebook user, on Facebook too.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I hope you\u2019ll join me in writing limericks <strong>using CORE or CORPS or D\u00c9COR at the end of any one line.<\/strong>  (Homonyms or homophones are fine.)<\/p>\n<p>The best submission will be crowned Limerick-Off Award Winner. (Here\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/humor_blog\/2018\/12\/01\/limerick-off-award-311\/\">last week\u2019s Limerick-Off Award Winner.<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additionally,<\/strong> you may write <strong>themed limericks<\/strong> related to <strong>SPICE, using any rhyme word.<\/strong> And of course I\u2019ll present an extra award \u2014 one for the best <strong>spice<\/strong>-related limerick.<\/p>\n<p>How will your poems be judged? By meter, rhyme, cleverness, and humor. (If you\u2019re feeling a bit fuzzy about limerick writing rules, here&#8217;s my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/humor_blog\/how-to-write-a-limerick\/\"><em>How To Write A Limerick<\/em><\/a> article.)<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll announce the winners on <strong>December 16, 2018,<\/strong> right before I post the next Limerick-Off. So that gives you <strong>two full weeks<\/strong> to submit your clever, polished verse. Your <strong>submission deadline is Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10:00 p.m.<\/strong> (Eastern Time.)<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s my limerick: <\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>This drink was a very &#8220;light pour.&#8221;<br \/>\nIf you&#8217;d like to be paid, pour me more!<br \/>\nHere&#8217;s my other complaint<br \/>\nWhich is likely to taint<br \/>\nYour review: piss-poor taste in d\u00e9cor.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Please feel free to enter my Limerick-Off by posting your limerick(s) in my comments.
