And that means I write a limerick, and you write your own, using the same rhyme word. Then you post your limerick(s) as a comment to this post and, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/madkane\/posts\/10153690748974315\">if you\u2019re a Facebook user, on Facebook too.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I hope you\u2019ll join me in writing limericks using <strong>SEAL<\/strong> or <strong>CONCEAL<\/strong> at the end of Line 1 or Line 2 or Line 5.  (Homonyms or homophones are fine.)<\/p>\n<p>The best submission will be crowned Limerick-Off Award Winner. (Here\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/humor_blog\/2016\/04\/16\/limerick-off-award-250\/\">last week\u2019s Limerick-Off Award Winner<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additionally,<\/strong> you may write <strong>themed limericks<\/strong> related to <strong>FRIENDSHIP, using any rhyme scheme.<\/strong> And of course I\u2019ll present an extra award \u2014 one for the best <strong>FRIENDSHIP<\/strong>-related limerick.<\/p>\n<p>How will your poems be judged? By meter, rhyme, cleverness, and humor. (If you\u2019re feeling a bit fuzzy about limerick writing rules, here&#8217;s my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/humor_blog\/how-to-write-a-limerick\/\"><em>How To Write A Limerick<\/em><\/a> article.)<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll announce the winners on <strong>May 1,<\/strong> right before I post the next Limerick-Off. So that gives you <strong>two full weeks<\/strong> to submit your clever, polished verse. Your <strong>submission deadline is Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. <\/strong> (Eastern Time.)<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s my limerick: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We&#8217;re not buying your bid to conceal<br \/>\nYour role in the heist, so no deal.<br \/>\nYou should have been straight.<br \/>\nNow your lies seal your fate.<br \/>\nWe can prove you were wielding the wheel.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Please feel free to enter my Limerick-Off by posting your limerick(s) in my comments.
