(It\u2019s a three-verse limerick, but a standard one-verse limerick is fine, of course.)<\/p>\n<p>Jittery Limerick (<a href='http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/humor_blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/jittery.m4a'>Jittery Limerick Audio<\/a>)<br \/>\nBy Madeleine Begun Kane<\/p>\n<p>A jittery fellow named Fred<br \/>\nHad problems with sleeping in bed.<br \/>\nHe could sleep on a chair<br \/>\nOr a stool &#8212; anywhere<br \/>\nBut in bed, where things came to a head. <\/p>\n<p>He was haunted in bed by his fears,<br \/>\nWhether sober or after some beers.<br \/>\nHe would worry and fret&#8212;<br \/>\nCould not snooze on a bet.<br \/>\nAnd that&#8217;s how he lived for ten years.<\/p>\n<p>But then podcasts came into his life.<br \/>\n(He&#8217;d heard about them from his wife.)<br \/>\nThe discussions and talk<br \/>\nMade sad thoughts take a walk.<br \/>\nNow he slumbers in bed without strife.<\/p>\n<p>Please feel free to write your own limerick using the same first line and post it in my comments.
