And that means I write a limerick, and you write your own, using the same rhyme word. Then you post your limerick as a comment to this post and, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/madkane\/posts\/10153490435609315\">if you\u2019re a Facebook user, on Facebook too.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I hope you\u2019ll join me in writing a limerick using <strong>FRANK<\/strong> at the end of Line 1 or Line 2 or Line 5.  (Homonyms or homophones are fine.)<\/p>\n<p>The best submission will be crowned Limerick-Off Award Winner. (Here\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/humor_blog\/2016\/01\/24\/limerick-off-award-244\/\">last week\u2019s Limerick-Off Award Winner<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Additionally,<\/strong> you may write a <strong>BEVERAGE-themed limerick,<\/strong> using any rhyme scheme. And of course I\u2019ll present an extra award \u2014 one for the best <strong>BEVERAGE<\/strong>-related limerick.<\/p>\n<p>How will your poems be judged? By meter, rhyme, cleverness, and humor. (If you\u2019re feeling a bit fuzzy about limerick writing rules, here&#8217;s my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.madkane.com\/humor_blog\/how-to-write-a-limerick\/\"><em>How To Write A Limerick<\/em><\/a> article.)<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll announce the winners on <strong>February 7,<\/strong> right before I post the next Limerick-Off. So that gives you <strong>two full weeks<\/strong> to submit your clever, polished verse. Your <strong>submission deadline is Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 10:00 p.m. <\/strong> (Eastern Time.)<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s my limerick: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A fellow was munching a frank<br \/>\nWhile standing on line at the bank,<br \/>\nWhen a woman beside him<br \/>\nDecided to chide him:<br \/>\n&#8220;Quite frankly, your manners are rank.&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Please feel free to write your own limerick(s) using the same rhyme word and post it in my comments.
