We’re in the middle of a financial crisis that affects almost everyone.\u00a0 So I hope you’ll join me in writing limericks and\u00a0haiku (senryu) about our Wall Street woes.<\/em> \u00a0First, my limerick:<\/p>\n

I shudder when opening mail,
\nAnd my sinking accounts make me wail.
\nI would sure like to beat
\nUp those guys on the Street,
\nBut I fear that I can’t afford bail.<\/p>\n

And now my\u00a0haiku (senryu):<\/p>\n

Financial vultures
\nFirst gobble up our assets,
\nThen demand dessert.<\/p>\n

Now, of course, it\u2019s your<\/strong> turn.
