When I was in elementary school, I was really bad at two things — art and athletics.\u00a0 Come to think of it,\u00a0 I’m still <\/strong>bad at them.\u00a0 And that leads me to this week’s alternative poetry prompt themes: school and\/or things you aren’t good at<\/em>.<\/p>\n

First, a limerick about my art prowess … or lack thereof:<\/p>\n

Please do not <\/strong>make me paint. Have a heart!
\nI was awful at art from the start.
\nFlunking finger paint’s rare,
\nBut I did it. So there!
\nUse a house-painting pro and be smart.<\/p>\n

And now my unathletic haiku (senryu):<\/p>\n

I hope for my name,
\nAs the girls pick their teammates.
\nNext to last again.<\/p>\n

Now, of course, it\u2019s your<\/strong> turn.
