That\u2019s nuts!<br \/>\nAnd the priest, he still preaches, and preys.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order) <a href=\"http:\/\/wtlaughlin.com\/\">Will T. Laughlin<\/a>,  Kirk Miller, Brian Allgar, Tim James, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adamsternconductor.com\/blog\">Adam Stern<\/a>, Scott Crowder, and <a href=\"http:\/\/ianodes.com\/\">Ian Graham.<\/a> Here are their respective Honorable Mention limericks:<\/p>\n<p>Will T. Laughlin:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>May McCray has created a craze.<br \/>\nBut although May\u2019s maize maze may amaze,<br \/>\nRose\u2019s rose rows once rose<br \/>\nWhere the maize maze now grows,<br \/>\nAnd they\u2019ll raze the maze one of these days.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Kirk Miller:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>He embarked on a dieting craze.<br \/>\nThe results never ceased to amaze.<br \/>\nWhen he stepped on the scale,<br \/>\nLoss of weight he would hail.<br \/>\nIt was clear he was changing his weighs.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Brian Allgar: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Mozart\u2019s output was one to amaze;<br \/>\nThough still young at the end of his days,<br \/>\nAnd approaching defeat<br \/>\nIn making ends meet,<br \/>\nHe left more than 600K\u2019s.*<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>*Mozart\u2019s works were catalogued by Ludwig Ritter von K\u00f6chel, and go up to K626 (the Requiem.)<\/p>\n<p>Tim James:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The cannibals roasted some maize<br \/>\nAnd prepared a nice sauce Hollandaise.<br \/>\nThen a rival tribe\u2019s chief<br \/>\nGot thrown in as the beef.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s a worthy opponent they braise.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Adam Stern:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Carmen\u2019s passion aroused Don Jos\u00e9\u2019s;<br \/>\nMaddalena, Andrea Ch\u00e9nier\u2019s.<br \/>\nBut Aida! She slipped<br \/>\nHerself into the crypt<br \/>\nWhere she died with her beau, Radam\u00e8s.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Brian Allgar:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>To survive the political maze,<br \/>\nThere are rules for these decadent days:<br \/>\nJust keep cheating and lying,<br \/>\nVote-selling and buying \u2013<br \/>\nIn politics, crime always pays.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Scott Crowder:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Whenever I\u2019m caught in a maze<br \/>\nOf beauties, I know where to gaze.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s right at my wife;<br \/>\nI value my life<br \/>\nAnd I&#8217;d like to see my golden days.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ian Graham:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The maize farmer\u2019s hoping for lays<br \/>\n\u2019Mongst the chicks who get lost in his maze,<br \/>\nBut a mad Martian jerk\u2019ll<br \/>\nAppend a crop circle<br \/>\nAnd have his strange way with the strays.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Congratulations again to all the winners for your wonderful limericks.
