It’s time to announce the latest Limerick of the Week based on submissions (on this blog and on Facebook) in last week’s Limerick-Off<\/a>. <\/p>\n

I was dating three sisters named Boone;
\nYoung April was cold: \u201cIt\u2019s too soon,\u201d
\nAnd May, though quite hot,
\nTold me \u201cNo, you may not,\u201d
\nBut the good times were coming in June.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A scribe and his editor, June,
\nDid the nasty, one fine afternoon.
\nShe had gotten quite pissed
\nWith the deadlines he\u2019d missed;
\nBut this ONE time, he finished too soon.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Will T. Laughlin:<\/p>\n

Go ahead, Tin Pan Alley, and croon
\nA tune in which \u201cmoon\u201d rhymes with \u201cJune\u201d.
\nSing of stealing a kiss
\nFrom a lissome young miss \u2013
\nJust don\u2019t sing it to me. I\u2019m immune.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Pedro Poitevin:<\/p>\n

I\u2019m shagging a young picaroon
\nWho loves to show off his harpoon.
\nHe\u2019s too quick with the trigger
\nAnd lacking in vigor,
\nBut he arrrs when I whisper \u201cjejune.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

David Reddekopp: <\/p>\n

The timing is quite opportune
\nFor an off-color rhyme that\u2019s jejune.
\nA short penis joke will
\nAlways get a cheap thrill,
\nBut the verse, like my dick, ends too soon.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Daisy Mae Simon:<\/p>\n

When he’d walk in from work, he’d call, “June!”
\nDressed in pearls and her apron, they\u2019d ‘spoon.’
\nWhen her batter he\u2019d lick
\nShe\u2019d get lightheaded quick,
\nBut when Ward asked for Beaver, she\u2019d swoon.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Phil Graham:<\/p>\n

A menage \u00e0 trois started at noon.
\nThe lone man got surprised fairly soon;
\nWith all three going strong,
\nHe thought something was wrong
\nWhen May didn\u2019t come before June.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fred Bortz:<\/p>\n

She delivered her baby in June,
\nSix months past the wedding — too soon —
\nThe result of some merriment —
\nCondom experiment —
\n\u2019Twas only a trial balloon.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
