It’s time to announce the latest Limerick of the Week based on submissions (on this blog and on Facebook) in last week’s Limerick-Off<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Congratulations to WILL T. LAUGHLIN<\/a>, who wins Limerick of the Week for this funny verse:<\/p>\n

On Craig’s List, Chris posted his lust
\nFor a tryst with a lass to be trussed.
\nAlas, though: Chris missed
\nHis delicious truss tryst.
\nHe was tied up at work. How unjust!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order) Tim James, Robert Schechter<\/a>, Brian Allgar, Jon Gearhart, Fred Bortz<\/a>, Lisi Nortman, Kaye Roberts, Phil Graham<\/a>, and Allen Wilcox. Here are their respective Honorable Mention limericks:<\/p>\n

She withdrew from the Savings & Trust
\nAll her cash. It\u2019s not much; now she must
\nChoose \u2019twixt breast augmentation
\nAnd West Coast vacation.
\nThe choice: California or bust.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Robert Schechter: <\/p>\n

The essence of love is to trust.
\nSo trust me. I’m able to thrust
\nWithout letting go.
\nBelieve me! . . . Uh oh . . .
\nRemember that son we discussed?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Brian Allgar: <\/p>\n

He stuffed her with thrust after thrust
\nLike a man half-demented with lust,
\nThen he bound her with string,
\nLegs and breast, everything,
\nTill the Thanksgiving turkey was trussed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jon Gearhart: <\/p>\n

As I cussed and discussed in disgust
\nMy mistrust with my siblings, we fussed
\nHow the lawyer had still
\nNot found part of Dad’s will.
\nMy disgust rose from my misplaced trust.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fred Bortz:<\/p>\n

Chez Marquis de Sade is a must
\nTo couple with parry and thrust.
\nThere maidens will tryst
\nWhile bound at the wrist,
\nAs long as you’re someone they trussed.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Lisi Nortman:<\/p>\n

A marriage is based upon trust,
\nBut if driven by wild carnal lust,
\nYou\u2019ll probably cheat.
\nSo be very discreet.
\nDon\u2019t come home with your hairdo all mussed.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Kaye Roberts:<\/p>\n

Ev’ry man she\u2019d encountered with lust
\nHad betrayed her, demolished her trust.
\nSo she found a belle ch\u00e8re
\nAnd began lez affaire
\nAnd left all les hommes in the dust.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Phil Graham: <\/p>\n

A ski racer you couldn’t trust
\nWould consume pork and beans \u2019fore he shussed.
\nAnd to go a bit faster
\nHe’d use his ass blaster
\nAnd gain MPH from each gust.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Allen Wilcox:<\/p>\n

He was proud that they showed him the trust
\nTo move “David” to clean off the dust.
\nIt fell and it shattered.
\nHe cried, bruised and battered,
\n\u201cI can only say \u2018This was a bust\u2019.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
