Today\u2019s limerick, haiku, and senryu theme is furniture and furnishings.\u00a0<\/em>First, my limerick:<\/p>\n

Quick Story
\nBy Madeleine Begun Kane<\/p>\n

“Quick story,” my husband declares.
\n“It’s short — I’m not kidding,” he swears.
\nBut I know that he’s wrong.
\nHe’ll be witty, but long.
\nHow I wish I could find us some chairs.<\/p>\n

And now two\u00a0haiku (senryu):<\/p>\n

Dad climbs into bed.
\nHis poodle growls in protest.
\nTheir turf war begins.<\/p>\n

Sixty-year-old chair,
\nstill covered in plastic,
\nprotected from life.<\/p>\n

Now, of course, it\u2019s your<\/strong> turn.
