I hope you\u2019ll join me in writing a limerick with this first line: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A fellow whose car had been towed&#8230;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Here\u2019s mine. (It\u2019s a three-verse limerick, but a standard one-verse limerick is fine, of course.)<\/p>\n<p>Pigheaded Limerick<br \/>\nBy Madeleine Begun Kane<\/p>\n<p>A fellow whose car had been towed<br \/>\nFreaked out when he heard what he owed.<br \/>\n&#8220;Highway robb&#8217;ry,&#8221; he yelled.<br \/>\nThen he sued &#8212; price upheld,<br \/>\nPlus penalties &#8212; made him explode.<\/p>\n<p>So he threatened to file an appeal,<br \/>\nThough his wife said, &#8220;Enough! Make a deal!&#8221;<br \/>\nHe responded, &#8220;No way!<br \/>\nI simply won&#8217;t pay.<br \/>\nLet them keep my damn automobile.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But then he was hit with a lien.<br \/>\nAnd his wife said, &#8220;You see what I mean?<br \/>\nEnd this now or perforce<br \/>\nI will sue for divorce.&#8221;<br \/>\nThat&#8217;s what comes of the stubbornness gene.<\/p>\n<p>Please feel free to write your own limerick using the same first line and post it in my comments.
