Today\u2019s limerick and haiku theme is\u00a0dates and dating.\u00a0<\/em>First, my limerick:<\/p>\n

The gal was enjoying\u00a0her date
\nTill her escort became quite irate.
\nHe assaulted a waiter,
\nThen said, “See ya later.”
\nI suppose it was something he ate.<\/p>\n

And now my dating-<\/em>related haiku:<\/p>\n

His seeing eye dog
\nLed the man to her table:
\nA double blind date.<\/p>\n

Now, of course, it\u2019s your<\/strong> turn. Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to write a limerick or haiku (or both) about\u00a0dates\u00a0and dating.<\/em> When you\u2019ve posted your verse, please return\u00a0here and add a direct link to your themed poetry, using Mr. Linky.\u00a0There\u2019s no rush, by the way, because you have\u00a0two weeks to post it.<\/p>\n
