It’s time to announce the latest Limerick of the Week based on submissions (on this blog and on Facebook) in last week’s Limerick-Off<\/a>. <\/p>\n

An agent with humor too droll
\nHas been dumped and is out on the dole.
\nNinety-nine and The Chief
\nAre both filled with relief
\nTo know Maxwell is out of control.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And congratulations to these Honorable Mention winners (in random order) Tim James, Edward von Muir, Colleen Murphy<\/a>, Jon Gearhart, Brian Allgar, and Will T. Laughlin.<\/a> Here are their respective Honorable Mention limericks:<\/p>\n

Tim James:<\/p>\n

\nAt the bridge I expected a troll,
\nBut two beautiful gals took the role
\nOf collecting the fare.
\nWho\u2019s in charge over there?
\nYou should ask not for whom the belles toll.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Edward von Muir:<\/p>\n

While driving my Nissan Patrol,
\nI hit, near the boreal pole,
\nSome old geezer in red,
\nAnd I left him for dead,
\nSo for Christmas I only got coal.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Colleen Murphy: <\/p>\n

The guard on the bridge was a troll.
\nHe told me he wanted my soul,
\nBut I said, “It’s too late!
\nValentino, my mate,
\nHas already levied that toll.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jon Gearhart: <\/p>\n

South Korea, right after patrol,
\nI went into this watering hole.
\nI told tales and had drinks.
\nThey served food that I think’s
\nBest summed up as the filly of Seoul.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Brian Allgar: <\/p>\n

The golfer was built like a troll
\nAnd a fine hole in one was his goal.
\nBut he fumbled the stunt,
\nAnd the player in front
\nTold him \u201cOuch! You\u2019re in quite the wrong hole!\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Will T. Laughlin:<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t respond to the Internet Troll:
\nIf you do, he\u2019ll succeed in his goal.
\nTo his lair in the deep
\nCAPS-LOCH Ness he will creep,
\nBearing with him a piece of your soul.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Will T. Laughlin:\t<\/p>\n

Oh joy. I\u2019ve defeated the Troll,
\nAnd discovered a magical scroll.
\nThough my character\u2019s plungin\u2019
\nDeep into the dungeon,
\nMy love life\u2019s a much deeper hole.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
