Today\u2019s limerick and haiku theme is\u00a0temper.\u00a0<\/em>First, my limerick:<\/p>\n

Ode to An Ill-Tempered Felon
\nBy Madeleine Begun Kane<\/p>\n

A felonious fellow named Mort
\nWent to jail cuz his temper was short.
\nHe assaulted a mime,
\nCommitting his crime
\n(And his tort) with a bottle of Port.<\/p>\n

And now my temper<\/em> haiku:<\/p>\n

Losing his temper,
\nHe screamed, cursed, and hurled books.
\nI guess he found it.<\/p>\n

Now, of course, it\u2019s your<\/strong> turn. Your assignment, should you choose to accept it, is to write a limerick or haiku (or both) about\u00a0temper.<\/em> When you\u2019ve posted your verse, please return\u00a0here and add a direct link to your themed poetry, using Mr. Linky.\u00a0There\u2019s no rush, by the way, because you have a whole week to post it.<\/p>\n
